I have played with a laptop sans mouse....(my mousey died

) and before I got my new computer----wasnot very good at it and my onscreen mouse went pretty wild...so bought a new mousey for the computer (and then a few months later built a new computer

)

rr- yeah it was somewhere at the beginning that it was---I was close tho--bios type things (heck I am not a computer tech any longer and only did it when I knew more about windows than my spouse).

Yes we have a laptop with windows 7...it has good points it has some really BAD points...I see no reason to upgrade either (heck I went kicking screaming etc from my win 95 to me----I HATE change!)...though I am not a fan of xp either (hence the reason for the lack of sp2 on my laptop, and the fact that I dont have a rescue disk in english to put on it when sp2 crashes it----have YET to see a sp2 upgrade that did NOT wind up with a new install of xp!)
my new computer is sp3 so no worries (it died last year and had to be rebuilt---I still have the original case and thats about it).....

dang hurricanes.....need to talk to the people in that department and get them back on track---sorry rr

pwnd....having to have the current crap to log onto the local network, now that is a new one (I rarely even do windows updates until well after I have seen what bad things have happened to those who have---especially hubby ......its a good thing I know where his windows disk is now).

I used to do that for the longest time before I finally got a mouse. You get good at it after practice. Used to be able to monk really well with just the mousepad.

I have been in a hurricane (wilma if memory serves me) and then a whole bunch of typhoons while in japan (including the last time I went----though we only caught the end of it as we went to osaka and it turned for tokyo---).
Wilma was great, we were visiting my mom with the plan to go shelling on sanibal island---and since the storm stirred up everything (and the island was closed for a day or so) we were some of the first people there and there were TONS of shells everywhere!! (mom commented that she had never seen the place so devoid of people and full of shells!)

still have those shells--------

I have never been in a hurricane. I have been close to a few tornadoes but never enough that it has affected me or anything like that.

Rock You Like a Hurricane is a good song, even though it is an older one.

Hurricanes hate me, I don't know what I did to them, but they love to avoid me. The main archipelago in french polynesia isn't that big(~10 island). Yet I've always been on the island that didn't get hit by the hurricane.
Even once I was on the main insland (1042 km2, less than twice the area of San Francisco), and the storm hit everything except my town and the 2 towns next to it xD.

Well there is no safe place on Earth. Either the water level rises and puts cities in water or natural disasters will destroy us all.

All of the cities population are near a zone of disaster. If we had a color coded danger to no danger map of the world I wonder which city would be the most dangerous to live on? I would think Japan the place is small.

anything on an island can get tsunamis....or hurricanes/typhoons (usually)...stuff that is really far inland can get bad thunderstorms (see tornado)....too far north--blizzards with tons of snow .....other places get monsoons.....safest place...probably middle of austrialia (though drought is bad there)......
On a planet that has plate tectonics there is no such thing as a safe place---you can only hope that its safe while you are there.

now back to that migraine I have been trying to ignore-----

So taking honor classes or whatever for school...after i get home from football practice at 5, i do my homework, and by the time i finish it's usually like 10:30pm which is when i sleep
